Each year, the teams at our Central Office in Grantham go above and beyond to raise money for deserving charities. Last year the team took on the mighty Tough Mudder challenge at Belvoir Castle, taking on pools of mud and slippery slopes- the Belvoir Team were definitely put through their paces! Along with many other fundraising activities, a charity spin and a coffee morning, they managed to raise a fantastic £1,226 for Bliss UK.
This year, the fitness continues as the Belvoir Team take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The team is made up of Belvoir’s Marketing Director Kiara Simmance, Marketing Coordinator Chloe Bridger, IT Manager Tom Crowther, Projects & Support Administrator Rebecca Streeter, Chief Financial Officer Louise George, Group Financial Controller Julie Wilson, Assistant Accountant Lianne Johnson, Management Accountant Luke Pinnock, Accounting Apprentice Catalyn Bavister and Senior Sales Administrator Lara Thornhill. Taking on the peaks; Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, the walk is 25 miles over a variety of terrains climbing approximately 5,000 feet, all to be completed within 12 hours.
Each team member put forward a charity that they would like to raise money for, the charities were all put in a hat and MS Society UK was drawn as the charity that would be supported by the funds raised by the challenge.
We welcome all donations for this extremely deserving cause. You can donate via our JustGiving page that has been set up especially for the event- we’re looking to raise as much money as possibly to help fund better care, research and quality of life for MS sufferers. Please donate as much or as little as you can afford, all donations are greatly appreciated- click here. For more information on MS Society UK, please click the link here.
The challenge will be taking place on the 1st September 2018, so keep an eye out for a featured blog post during September to see how the team got on!
Thank you for your support.
