Christmas Dinner Table Ideas

Christmas dinner is a very special family occasion where everyone gets together for perhaps the first time since the previous Christmas. You’ll want your table to look every bit as fantastic as the roast you will be serving and, in this article, we look at some great ways to decorate your table for the festivities.

Tablecloths

The best laid tables have a lovely clean tablecloth covering them so why not splash out this Christmas and buy a seasonal tablecloth? We particularly liked this sparkly Snowflakes table cloth from the Christmas decorations outlet. It comes in different sizes and will certainly set the right tone for Christmas dinner.

If you want something a little more opulent then this tablecloth from Wayfair is the perfect solution, just take a look at those shimmering golds contrasting wonderfully with the beige and white. As a bonus this cloth is stain resistant and repels fluid – just in case a little accident occurs!

Napkins

You’ll need some napkins too and, not surprisingly, you can also get themed versions. This set of 4 Christmas Napkins from John Lewis is a fun addition to any Christmas feast.

If you want something disposable but every bit as festive then why not look at the Napkin Shop Christmas section they have a wonderful range of paper napkins in hundreds of different colours and patterns!

Napkin Rings

No Napkin is complete without a napkin ring and these snowflake napkin rings from the White Company are stunning. They look so elegant and will add sparkle and style to your Christmas table.

Alternatively these pine cone napkin rings with a stick of cinnamon from Amazon are a joy to behold and we are sure they will smell wonderful too.

Crockery

If you’re going to go all out at Christmas, then consider investing in some Christmas themed crockery. This fun Silver Santa flying Sleigh dinner set from Asda is perfect.  The colours are reminiscent of the silvery glint of snow and ice and the silhouette Santa on his Sleigh is very detailed.

For something a little more minimalistic but no less festive how about these Christmas tree plates from Debenhams?  The trees are remarkably simple, but we think that really adds to the festive theme.

Centrepiece

The crowning glory of any Christmas dinner table is the centrepiece. We particularly liked this winter roses and berries tealight centrepiece from Not on the High Street. Not only is it a wonderfully traditional design the three tealights will help light up and give a sense of occasion to your dinner.

If you want a twist to the more traditional candelabra then why not take a look at these beautiful and unusual pair of reindeer candle holders from Etsy. What we love about these, apart from the stunning design, is the ability to reposition them as the table fills up!

Fun Touches

If you are going for a less formal table then we have a few fun suggestions for you too. These santa style Christmas cutlery holders from Amazon will almost certainly raise a smile. Or perhaps these cute Santa tumblers from John Lewis will finish off your table nicely.

You really can let your imagination run wild this Christmas time and we hope that these suggestions help you create the perfect showpiece Christmas table that will have your guests in awe. So go ahead and decorate every facet of your table and sit back and watch the delighted faces when you serve up the turkey.
