The Award Goes To...

Last Friday saw our annual conference and awards return, sponsored by Let Alliance and Franklyn Financial Management. 2017 broke records, with a record number of exhibitors, delegates, speakers and awards and was well received by all who attended. 2017 was also the first time Belvoir went viral at the annual event, the #LittleAgents campaign that was launched there was shared by all who attended and by the end of the weekend, had been viewed over 480,000 times!

“This really was an amazing event, which was enjoyed by everyone,” says our Chief Operating Officer, Dorian Gonsalves. “I was incredibly proud of all the winners. This year we had a record 32 awards, as we aim to celebrate all aspects of our franchisees’ businesses, including monetary success, sales performance, compliance, innovation, acquisitions, group contribution, social media, special achievements and charitable work.

“Our judging panel had an extremely difficult challenge in selecting the winners, and a great deal of thought and effort was put into this. I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to every one of the winners, and also to their teams who have helped to make these businesses a success. I would also like to thank Belvoir’s franchise support team who put so much effort into making the Conference and Awards into the unique event that it has now become.

“This year our keynote speakers were simply outstanding. The theme was ‘What If’ and we chose this because we wanted to give our franchisees innovative and inspirational advice that will help them to provide their clients with world-class levels of customer service, which will really take their businesses forward to the next level.”

The 2017 Belvoir Conference was held at the prestigious Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire and was followed by a black-tie champagne dinner. The inimitable comedian and author Gyles Brandreth provided after dinner entertainment and also hosted the awards.

“The evening culminated in the presentation of Belvoir’s two top awards,” said Dorian. “The first was the Gold Award for Belvoir New Franchise of the Year, which was won by Luke Marchbanks from Belvoir Bournemouth. He is one of our youngest franchisees, only joining the company just over a year ago, but Luke is extremely ambitious and actually started his business with an acquisition. Within three days of rebranding to Belvoir Bournemouth, he had over 100 boards up and is currently achieving phenomenal results in both sales and lettings. We are very excited about what the future holds for this young entrepreneur.

“The grand finale was the presentation of the Belvoir Gold Award for Franchise of the Year, which was won by Karyn and Kevin Kelley of Belvoir Haywards Heath. Since joining Belvoir this very likeable husband and wife team have achieved every target they have ever set, and are also incredibly generous with the time they give to new franchisees and the help they give to Central Office with various projects and innovations. It is only a couple of years since Kevin and Karyn won Belvoir New Franchise of the Year, and tonight they also won Bronze for Group Contribution. We are very proud of Kevin and Karyn and all that they have achieved – they are highly deserving of Belvoir’s top accolade and I wish them every success for the future.”
