Have a clear out
It may not be the most fun job but having a good garden clear out will allow you to see what space you have to work with, what has survived the cold weather and what ultimately needs replacing. Spend a weekend organising and arranging, get the family involved and be productive- it’s all a bit of fun.
Add colour with planting
Hanging baskets and containers bring an instant splash of colour to front and back gardens, terraces and balconies. Try creating your own or if time is an issue why not opt for the pre planted baskets or containers, these still look great and don’t require any tools or mess. To make things even easier, chose the highly-realistic artificial topiary or hanging baskets, you are guaranteed lasting colour and minimal maintenance- no watering is required!
Light up those summer nights
Relaxing in the garden or entertaining guests, nothing creates a better atmosphere than subtle lighting. Hang string lights to your garden shed and fences, gather lanterns and tea lights together on tables and light up your walkways with patio lights. You don’t need to worry about increasing your electricity bill, these days many outdoor lights are either battery or solar powered and only take a few minutes to install.
Get comfy
Great outdoor furniture is a must when it comes to relaxing in your outdoor space. Opt for comfort and functionality, a spacious table and a selection of chairs is a great start. These will come in handy for those garden gatherings, decorate with cushions and blankets for extra cosy touches. If you are a looking for something a little different, why not add a hammock to your furniture list. These are easy to put up, simply just attach to a sturdy tree or garden post, and are great for those summer siestas.
