Not necessarily something you hear very often. Its my opinion that the Redrow development as part of Newton Garden Village could offer just that.
The housing around Newton has an area that as an old RAF base has been a bit of an in between location. Whilst there are lots of green spaces and walks there is little in the way of amenities – no school, shop or pub. Its close to Bingham and Radcliffe on Trent but too far to walk. It has long been talked about that new build housing will change the face of this area and as Redrow have now started building we can finally see what there will be on offer.
This is a big project, set to run over the next 6 years. As the properties are built and sold there are plans to add a shop and a primary school along with the community orchards and foot paths around the site. There are also plans for a very useful footbridge over the A46 making the busy market town of Bingham accessible on foot.
What could you purchase on this development?
Currently on the development there are 3 bed properties on the market for around £290,000. Some will be completed by December 2021 in addition there are other 2 and 3 bed properties from £218,950 which will be ready next year. These could offer excellent rental returns due to the high demand for property in the area.
Once the site is completed and the amenities are in place this area will become a real draw for families and is an ideal location for commuting to Nottingham, Leicester and Newark. Purchasing a property at the beginning of this development could see rental returns of 5% plus an uplift in value of the home once everything is complete.
Definitely an area to consider if you are looking at investing in property. If you would like more information give me a call on 01949 714101 or email me on charlotte.baker@belvoir.co.uk
