This month we were proud to announce our acquisition of Simon Musto Sales and Lettings, an estate agency in Kettering that has been operating in the town for more than 40 years.
It got us reminiscing about our acquisition of Yates in Corby back in 2018 and we thought it would be a good opportunity to use our April blog to tell our story of how Belvoir came to call Corby home…
Our managing director, Bobby Singh Braich, grew up in property management. As a child he was often seen tagging along with his father who self-managed the family’s rental portfolio, helping and learning from a young age.
As time went on, he gradually took on more responsibility in the family business, from showing potential tenants around the properties to arranging repairs and ordering materials. As the new millennium dawned in 2000, he took on the whole portfolio.
12 years later he came across a Belvoir branch in Kettering, Northamptonshire where he lived.
As a landlord with a property portfolio, he made an enquiry about its Tenant Find Only service.
Six months later, the owner contacted Bobby to ask if he was interested in buying the business. The ownership was transferred in mid-2014.
The multi-award-winning Belvoir Estate Agents opened in Kettering back in 2006, so had been running for eight years before Bobby took to the helm.
Since then, Belvoir has grown from strength to strength, building up a large portfolio of properties in Kettering and the surrounding villages and gaining the trust of tenants and landlords alike.
Throughout this time, many years of experience has been gained, and with the benefit of extremely knowledgeable staff, Belvoir has always remained the property professionals and is committed to providing an excellent and competitive service within all aspects of property management to all of its clients.
In 2017, Bobby wanted to expand the business further so set about looking for other associated businesses to take on or independent estate agents to acquire or merge with.
As part of the search, he asked Belvoir’s acquisitions team to assist, and together they came across an independent firm, Yates Estate Agents, which had been a household name in Corby for over 30 years.
The business, in George Street, was held in high regard by the local community and had built up a good reputation over a number of decades working in the town.
Bobby and his team were delighted to adopt the Yates team into the Belvoir family in 2018,combining their experience with the backing that a national brand numbering some 200 locations can bring.
Fast forward to 2022 and Belvoir has acquired Simon Musto Sales and Lettings in Sheep Street, Kettering. This acquisition gives Belvoir an even greater presence in Kettering. Combining our services will benefit our customers, bringing a modern approach to a traditional, well-respected business.
Whilst we are very excited for our future and working to provide the best possible service to our clients, it has also been great to reflect back on our journey and how far we have come.
We are very proud to be part of the community in Corby and Kettering and are avid supporters of other local businesses, schools, clubs and charities.
Corby and Kettering are both fantastic towns to work and live in and we look forward to working with purchasers, vendors, landlords and tenants in the area for many more years to come.
