We seem to be seeing an ‘up tick’ in interest from potential tenants in houses at the moment so here is an interesting one to consider. http://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/38724152?search_identifier=59af1640eb35aad4506d809772b9d65b#UltzxRM0UXyQ6CXF.97.
It’s being advertised by my colleagues at Northwoods. Now I know at an asking price of £170,000 its not for every investor, however its an attractive substantial property in a large plot with drive, garage and front/rear gardens in a good location.
I would say £650 a month would be a conservative rental assessment for calculation purposes which would give a yield of 4.2%. I fully accept that this isn’t stellar, however I would hope to achieve a better rent, but more importantly the capital appreciation for houses in that post code over the last five years has been just shy of 29%; now that’s a bit more interesting.
