I was talking to a landlord of mine about styles of property recently and obviously some of it comes down to personal preference. However, I noticed this one and thought I would it as a good example. http://www.tspc.co.uk/details.asp?id=116829 and its being marketed by Jack Brown & Company.
It’s a fairly standard, modern, 3 bed semi (though the third bed is more of a nursery/office I would personally suggest). It looks to be in pretty good condition, a good starter home for a young family/professional or indeed a buy to let. Now the asking price is £135,000 and I reckon that even with that third bedroom it should achieve around £600 in rental, which is a yield of about 4.8%. However, also worth noting is that semi’s in that post code have increased in value by over 7% in the last twelve months and nearly 31% in the last 5 years. Interesting I think.
