I was talking to a landlord of mine who tends to focus on properties in the Ferry recently and came across this one http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-53552803.html, which is being marketed by MQ estate agents.
It’s a one-bedroom apartment in the popular Barnhill area of the Ferry.
It looks to have been thoroughly modernised and going on previous experience of properties I’ve rented in this area I would say it should rent comfortably for around £425 or better. That being the case and given the asking price of just under £75,000 that’s a gross yield of 6.2%. Flats in this area have gone up by around 15% in value over the last five years.
