Murrayfield Stadium: Okay, let’s get this one right out of the way from the kick off. If you’ve heard of Murrayfield in Edinburgh at all, it’s quite likely that it’s for one single thing: rugby. With a capacity of 67,144, this massive stadium is the home of the Scottish Rugby Union. If you like your Six Nations rugby and Autumn Internationals, then you simply could not be better placed. But it’s not just about the great game. Murrayfield frequently hosts concerts from some of the world’s biggest stars, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for whatever is coming around throughout the year. Around these parts, it’s always rockin’.
Cocobean Cafe: Not too far away from Murrayfield Stadium, you’ll find an absolute gem of a coffee shop that has some of the best breakfasts in town. Pull up a chair at the window and watch the world go by with a steaming cup of Joe and let all of your worries drift away. Affordable prices, tasty food and some super friendly staff are just some of the reasons to visit this fantastic little place. Definitely put this one on your list. It’s undoubtedly going to be your regular.
Murrayfield Ice Rink: When it comes to physical activity, it’s not just rugby that has a bit of a reputation around these parts. If you like the ice and fancy yourself as a bit of a skater, then you’ll slip right in at Murrayfield Ice Rink. A 3800 seat arena, this iconic space facilitates public ice skating sessions, ice hockey and a whole lot of other events to take part in and enjoy. With a history dating back to 1938, you really are being a part of history when you visit. The only thing that isn’t frosty here is the welcome. So strap on your boots and give it a whirl. Go on. You know you want to. Unleash your inner Torvill and Dean.
Murrayfield Golf Club: There’s no avoiding the game of golf in Scotland and the same is true right here in the nation’s great capital. A super layout and stunning views across Edinburgh, this excellent, high class establishment, is an absolute must for any of you golfing fans out there. Founded in 1896, this excellent course is ideally located and is as welcoming as it is classy. So get your swing in order and come on down. A great day!
The Bothy Murrayfield: Every community needs a place where people can go and grab a drink, have a nice bite to eat and gather with friends to connect and discuss the issues of the day. Whilst there are a number of outstanding bars here in Murrayfield, our favourite has got to be The Bothy. Serving delicious food and supplying a vast range of beverages to enjoy, this popular stop is beautiful both inside and out. Anywhere that has an outside eating area is top of the list in our book, and this place has a great one. If you like a Sunday lunch (and, let’s face it, who doesn’t), then look no further. A proper treat.
