The current owners had a checklist when looking for their first home:
- Close to shops - tick. There are shops, cafes and restaurants on nearby Chase Side and Lancaster Road. Or for more serious shopping Enfield Town is a quick bus/ car ride away (who wants to walk with heavy bags?)
- Close to transport - tick. Gordon Hill train station is less than half a mile away and gives you fast and regular access to the city. You can also catch a bus at the end of the road.
- Close to green spaces - tick. Hilly Fields is very close by or you could follow the Merryhills Way nature trail to Trent Park.
But in the end the thing they'll miss most about their home is the open plan living room and kitchen, This space is great for hosting get togethers with family and friends. It's a very sociable space where you can cook, eat, chill, and wander out onto the balcony to enjoy the view.
The simple, streamlined appearance of the kitchen is achieved by having built-in appliances - oven, washer-dryer, dishwasher and fridge freezer, and for a further touch of luxury the worktop is solid quartz.
The second bedroom is a good size double so it's great if you want an office that also has space for guests to sleep over. The main bedroom, with it's fitted wardrobes, also has an en-suite so if guests do stay over you will still have a private bathroom.
For exercise you could speed climb the stairs to your front door, but why would you when there is an excellent lift? Or you could take your bike out of the secure bike shed, jump on, and cycle along the trail to Fernly Hill Farm where you can reward yourself with a delicious hearty breakfast!!
You could also take a walk along the farmland towards Strayfield Road and Crews Hill. pop in to some of the infamous garden centres, and buy a few specimens for the balcony to make it an even lovelier place to sit and watch the world go by.
