Belvoir Lettings impresses judges at Negotiator Awards 2012

The judges at the Negotiator Awards 2012 were greatly impressed with Belvoir Lettings, one of the UK’s largest specialist residential letting agents, awarding them as Highly Commended in three categories.

The Highly Commended categories were Franchise of the Year, Marketing Team of the Year, and Paul Collins of Belvoir Lincoln was Highly Commended for Innovator of the Year.

“Everyone at Belvoir was delighted to receive Highly Commended status in the above categories,” says CEO Dorian Gonsalves, who, together with several members of the Belvoir team, attended the prestigious black tie event at London’s Park Lane Hilton.

“Our success in the Franchise of the Year category at the Negotiator Awards follows hot on the heels of Belvoir winning Gold Award for Best Lettings Franchise at the Lettings Agency of the Year Awards in association with The Sunday Times and the Times. The lettings market is very strong and Belvoir Lettings is expanding rapidly so this is a very exciting time for anyone who is considering investing in a Belvoir franchise.

“Belvoir’s marketing team, which is led by manager Reena Patel, has also won several awards in recognition of the sterling work that they do for the company and it is gratifying that their efforts were also recognised at the Negotiator Awards. In recent months the marketing team has been involved in many important initiatives including the creation of a corporate video, new office branding and the development of exciting new marketing material to help enhance brand Belvoir.

“Belvoir’s franchise owners are the lifeblood of the network and their hard work and efforts really help the network to grow and become the nationally recognised brand that it is today. I was therefore thrilled that Paul Collins from Belvoir Lincoln, who is one of Belvoir’s longest serving and most successful franchise owners, was awarded Highly Commended for Innovator of the Year. The judges recognised the importance of the free Buy to Let (BTL) workshops that Paul offers to his landlords, and the innovative and expert advice that he provides on all aspects of BTL investment and wealth management.”

Speaking of his success, Paul Collins said: “I’ve been a letting agent for 16 years and during that time I have seen many investors manage their properties the wrong way or make mistakes. It is wonderful to be able to give people the right advice and equip them with the tools to make the correct choices for themselves. Innovation is crucial to the lifeblood of any business and without creative innovation we cannot evolve and grow. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and I’m very passionate about Belvoir so it is great to be able to give something back to an industry to which I am so committed.”

Simon and Sally Bell of Belvoir Telford were also shortlisted as finalists for Newcomer of the Year at the Negotiator Awards. “This husband and wife team only launched in January 2011, but they have worked incredibly hard to develop a very strong managed portfolio,” said Dorian. “Simon and Sally are truly a force to be reckoned with, having achieved break even in just five months and have already won Belvoir’s Gold Award for New Franchise of the Year 2012. I predict many more awards and accolades for their business in the future.

“Finally, I must say that it was a tremendous achievement for Belvoir to be Highly Commended in three categories at the Negotiator Awards 2012. I am incredibly proud of the efforts of each and every one of our franchise owners and also the franchise support team at Central Office, who do so much work to ensure the success of the 148 offices in the Belvoir network. Recognition at national awards is a clear indication of the high esteem with which Belvoir is held within the industry.”
