Is Renting really a Trap?

A recent article published by Patrick Collinson for The Guardian, Monday 4 February 2013 suggests that families renting are stuck renting, but is this really the case?

The article suggests that there are hundreds of pounds to pay in administration fees; “For many people looking to rent, the up-front costs of a deposit and agency fees can be huge. We’ve heard stories of some letting agents charging hundreds of pounds just to carry out basic credit and reference checks.” At Belvoir we charge £150 application fee which includes a credit check and references. The only other costs relate to the property we ask for the deposit and first month rent upfront on the day of the move in.

At Belvoir we are all about customer service and getting the right balance between landlord and tenant, who says renting, is a trap? If you like to move after a year or two then renting is the best option for you it allows you the freedom to find a new place without having to sell your existing property. We provide a professional and friendly service for landlords and tenants alike.
