With the rising number of complaints that the Property Ombudsman has been receiving lately there has been a call to clamp down on the number of letting agents that are opening up that are not part of any ombudsman scheme. The amendment to the laws is due before the courts next week. This will make it impossible for rouge traders to set up therefore reducing the competition within the market place for letting agents and allowing both landlords and tenants to feel great piece of mind when choosing who to let, rent through as all letting agents will be part of a scheme.
