Found the perfect place? Tricks to get in ASAP
Here at Belvoir Liverpool West Derby we like to keep you updated with all things letting related so here we have put together a few handy tips to ensure that you get the property that you really want.
1. Make a good impression. The house is not only on show but you as a tennant are too, first impressions are the best so try to be on time to your vieiwng, if you cant make it or are running late please be curtious and let us know in advance.
2. Get your references lined up. We require a landlord reference and an employer reference, we usually do this via email or fax, when compleating your application please remember to fill in all of the relevant information so ensure a swift process. Inform your boss/landlord that the reference will be coming over to them that way they will be expecting the email and will more than likley send it back the same day.
3. Be prepared to go fast. Good rentals are often snapped up, especially in Liverpool. Once you’ve decided, move quickly with your application. To secure a property you need to pay your application fee of £150 and complete your application forms.
4. Go through the contract ASAP. Raise any issues as soon as you can with us, so there’s time to get them changed before you move in. Also check who’s managing the property (ie, the landlord or letting agent as some of our properties are tenant find properties only). We usually email you a copy of your agreement over so that you have time before your move in to have a good read over the contract.
5. Have the rent and deposit ready. Make sure you have enough cash set aside for the first month’s rent and deposit. All of our properties require you to pay your first months rent and deposit upfront on the day that you move in. The deposit is always the same price as the first months rent unless otherwise agreed.
