We’re not too shy at Belvoir’s when it comes to a charity challenge, and this year 7 brave members of the Central Office team took one of the biggest challenges we’ve ever done…The Tough Mudder!
It was all to raise money for Parkinson’s UK, the charity was submitted by a member of the team and was drawn from a hat of 7 very deserving charities. Parkinson’s UK is a charity that drives better care, treatments and quality of life for Parkinson’s sufferers, as well as providing much-needed support for the families and carers that are also affected by the diagnosis.
The team were ready and raring to go with their first-ever Tough Mudder challenge. The Tough Mudder Half, which is a 5-mile course with 15 muddy, slippery and hair-raising obstacles took place in the beautiful grounds of Belvoir Castle in Lincolnshire and was attended by hundreds of enthusiastic fundraisers.
Team Belvoir, which was made up of Marketing Director; Kiara Simmance, Marketing Manager; Sam Martin, Marketing Coordinator; Charlotte Randall, Group Financial Controller; Julie Wilson, Management Accountant; Luke Pinnock, Sales Administrator; Lara Thornhill and Business Development Manager; James Drury successfully started and finished the course as a team (and in one piece!), with a time of 2 hours and 50 minutes.
The Team set out to raise £500 for Parkinson’s UK, a total which has so far been exceeded with a total amount of £710 raised for the charity. All of the donations go straight to Parkinson’s UK, meaning they can continue their amazing work to find better treatments for Parkinson’s.
Belvoir would like to thank everyone who donated to Team Belvoir’s Tough Mudder and huge congratulations to our Tough Mudder team!
