Belvoir Congleton & Northwich held a buy-to-let seminar on Thursday 28th February 2013 at The Lion & Swan Hotel, Congleton. The audience consisted of existing clients and those who had seen the recent press adverts. James Whalley of Belvoir Congleton & Northwich hosted the event and did an introductory talk on the essentials of buy-to-let, also covering the market conditions in the Congleton & Northwich regions.
Next up was the first guest speaker, Paul Collins from Belvoir Lincoln, who did a presentation on The Green Deal, The Localism Act and Landlords Insurance. Paul’s audience interaction was both captivating and informative helping reinforce the idea of careful preparation when contemplating property investment.
Finishing the evening off was the second guest speaker, Andrew Chatterton of St. James’s Place Wealth Management who talked about the relevant financial implications surrounding buy-to-let .
The evening was extremely well received and generated Belvoir Congleton & Northwich eight St. James’s Place referrals on the evening alone!
In fact the event was so successful that two breakout workshops have been scheduled for the end of March to guide investors on tax planning
