Belvoir Lettings Northwich held its fifth Charity Golf Day in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club on Wednesday 2nd September 2015.
A record 19 teams took to the course on what was a sunny and dry day which meant playing conditions were favourable. Players competed for prizes including “the longest drive” and “nearest the pin” as well as the overall score. They were then treated to a delicious two course luncheon in ‘The Great Hall’ within the Abbey followed by an auction, a raffle and the prize-giving ceremony.
Ann Whalley, Owner and Director of Belvoir had this to say about the event: “It just goes to show that the hard work you put in behind the scenes organising an event like this can really pay off. The ground staff at Vale Royal keep the course in pristine condition which is why we keep returning. We are delighted to announce that we have raised £4300 for Macmillan Cancer Support on the day, which takes the cumulative total up to over £15k for the five years. We can all think of someone who has been touched by cancer so we think it’s important to do our bit to help the cause.”
