SAFE – Safe Agent Fully Endorsed – is a mark denoting firms that protect landlords and tenants money through client money protection schemes. Propertymark is a national campaign that was set up in 2011 ‘by the industry, for the industry’ in order to highlight the importance of choosing a letting agent that offers financial protection through a Client Money Protection (CMP) Scheme.
National Propertymark Awareness Week is dedicated to highlighting the risks to consumers of using agents who are not part of CMP Schemes and alerting them to ways in which these risks can be avoided. The best way to do this is to ensure that landlords and tenants only sign up to letting agents carrying the Propertymark logo.
Over 3,000 lettings agents across the UK will participate in the fourth annual initiative, aimed at raising consumer awareness of the importance of choosing an agent who is part of a Client Money Protection scheme.
