Marie Laveau’s Dance of the Dead at The Nottingham Contemporary
For those of you who have seen American Horror Story: Coven or are familiar with history of Voodoo, then you’ll know all about Marie Laveau, the renowned Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. The Nottingham Contemporary are hosting a ‘Dance of the Dead’ evening on Saturday 29th October, inspired by the lady herself.
Visitors will be greeted with fortune tellers, live music and mysterious happenings and finishing with a classic horror screening to leave a chill in your spine. Best of all, guests can look forward to Voodoo doughnuts, courtesy of the Nottingham Doughnut Co.
The event runs from 7:30pm until 1:00am. Tickets can be booked for £12 or pay £16 on the door.

Circus of Horrors at the Riverbank Bar and Kitchen
On Friday 28th October 2016 from 8pm- 3am the Riverbank Bar and Kitchen will be transforming their venue into a Circus of Horrors. Different rooms will be playing music ranging from deep and soulful house to pop classics.
An outside circus tent will boast fire eating, contortion shows, mind reading and many more weird and wonderful activities. There are also prizes for best dressed male and best dressed female.
There are only a few tickets left, at a price of £12.00 which you can grab online or you can pay on the door for £15.
White Post Farm Halloween Festival
It’s Halloween festival at White Post Farm from 22nd to 30th October. Visitors can expect a variety of spooky delights during this period of time.
Hawks of Steele will be bringing their falcons to the farm for excellent displays during this period of time and getting up close and personal with these majestic animals is an activity not to be missed.
Professor Phizix, will be performing crazy science shows twice a day up until Friday 28th October, plus walk around entertainers will be at the farm until the 30th, showing of their fabulous tricks.
There will also be Halloween crafts all week that are free of charge, or you can try a bit of pumpkin carving for a small fee. Panic not, if it’s too scary for the little ones, then the usual farm activities such as animal holding and reptile stroking will still all be taking place!
