As new figures suggest that landlords are enjoying a rise in rents, Belvoir Sheffield is advising landlords that the future looks bright way into 2014.
The new figures found that average monthly rents across England and Wales rose to a record high of £757 in September, up 2.1 per-cent from the same time last year, according to the Buy-to-Let Index from LSL Property Services.
The report also found that the number of new tenancies across England and Wales in September increased by 9.2 per-cent compared to the same time last year.
It said this represents an average return of £12,129 per landlord – made up of £8,164 of rental income and £3,965 of capital gains.
Rick Flay, Director at Belvoir Sheffield Lettings, said: “These latest figures paint a very positive picture of the rentals market as we approach 2014. Rates remain low, and yields are consistently high. Confidence is generally high which is causing growth in the sector.
“I would like to invite any landlords seeking new investments to get in touch with us with a free no obligation meeting to discuss the options and support available to them.”
