Official ambassadors of the ‘Make Your Mark’ campaign take on their new title as Enterprise UK Ambassadors this week, as the original campaign has now been changed. Rick Flay, from Belvoir Sheffield is one Ambassador looking forward to the positive impact the new campaign is set to make.
The ‘Make Your Mark’ campaign has been rebranded, changing its original focus from having successfully encouraged enterprising activity among thousands of 14 to 30 year olds across the UK to now reaching out to people of all ages and backgrounds. The Enterprise UK campaign is expected to be even more successful and the organisers behind the campaign are looking forward to hearing from fresh thinkers who spot opportunities, apply entrepreneurial talents and overcome obstacles to make their ideas come to life.
Rick, from the firm which specialises properties to let in Sheffield , said, “I am really looking forward to encouraging and motivating others in realising their ideas, their potential and their talent. I am delighted that the organisers behind the campaign have recognised my entrepreneurial achievements and that they find my story inspiring to others looking to achieve similar goals.”
Rick has successfully grown a franchise business specialising in houses to let in Sheffield and flats in Sheffield . His hard work and enterprise were rewarded when Belvoir Sheffield won the New Franchise of the Year award in 2007and a Silver Franchise of the Year award in 2008.
Rick added, “The Make Your Mark initiative was a great initiative, giving support and encouragement to budding entrepreneurs. The Enterprise UK campaign is even more exciting and shows that talent and entrepreneurship can come from people of all ages and backgrounds.”
There are currently 600 Make Your Mark Ambassadors across the UK, all of whom will now undertake the new Enterprise UK Ambassador role. These entrepreneurs are committed to telling their inspiring stories via events, school visits and the media, in a bid to inspire others to go out and make their dreams a reality.
