The dynamic growth of the successful business partnership behind Belvoir Sheffield, the leading letting agent in Sheffield, has put them at the top of the rankings, for the sixth time.
Rick Flay and his business partner Sarah Powell, who own the Belvoir Letting Agents in Sheffield with offices on Paradise Square, competed against 140 other offices throughout the UK wide network to scoop this year’s Belvoir Franchise of the Year 2012 Silver Award.
And to underpinthis achievement the Sheffield office also picked up the Gold Belvoir Group Contribution Award, in recognition of the time and effort which Rick puts in to help other Belvoir franchise owners with the development of their respective businesses in other parts of the country.
And to top it all off, the Sheffield office was also recognised for achieving the second highest sales turnover in the entire Belvoir network of offices, with the Belvoir Rankings Award.
Since opening up for business in Sheffield five years ago, Rick and Sarah have filled a cabinet full of Belvoir honours including New Franchise of the Year in 2007, followed by one Gold and three Silver awards in various categories.
Presenting Rick and Sarah with their triple prize win at a ceremony staged at the Belton Woods hotel in Grantham, Lincolnshire, this year was renowned TV wit, presenter, writer and raconteur, Gyles Brandreth alongside Belvoir Chief Executive Officer, Dorian Gonsalves.
Dorian paid tribute by saying: “Rick and Sarah run an absolute powerhouse of an office in Sheffield, achieving consistently high sales and growing their business base by offering local clients a top class, professional service.
“They are the second top performing business in our Group and their business just keeps growing and growing – making them worthy winners of this year’s awards.”
Sarah Powell, at Belvoir Sheffield, who offer a wide range of property to rent in Sheffield, said: “Whilst Rick and I are thrilled to win again this year, we must pay tribute to the rest of the team; Tom, Miles, Louise, Becky, Megan, Dawn and Kevin, for helping us to offer the highest levels of professional service to our landlord and tenant clients. They are a great, dedicated andhard working bunch of people.”
Rick, whose letting agency on Campo Lane in Sheffield, specialises in providing flats to let in Sheffield added: ”We have worked hard to achieve the position of market leader in Sheffield and can now claim to be the largest independent lettings agency in the city.
“We continue to innovate and market ourselves very professionally and with the recent introduction of a newly re-structured Sheffield property management team, we have also quite significantly improved the way we communicate with clients.”
Crowning the Sheffield team’s achievements at the 2012 ceremony was the fact that just two days earlier Belvoir successfully listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
