The S2 area is an excellent example of the gems found within the City of Sheffield. It is located around 20 minutes away from the city center via bus and just 10 minutes by car. S2 is instantly recognizable for its vast selection of great restaurants and shops located nearby. The area is made up of great places to live such as Heeley, Highfield, Norfolk Park, Park Hill and more!
One of the highlights of S2 is Heeley Millenium Park. It has a bike trail with great views, multi-use games area and hosts many festivals and events. Meersbrook Park and Graves Park are also close by. Graves Park is a spectacle as the largest park in Sheffield, housing a zoo, playground and tearoom within its grounds. In S2 you will find plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby at Heeley Green and on London and Chesterfield Road. Heeley Retail Park includes Matalan, Pets at Home, Next, Boots and Currys, there is also a pound shop and Lidl nearby. Within the area there is also the Queens Road Retail Park, which contains useful shops such as Dreams Bed Superstore and Magnet amongst many more! Leisure activities can be found in the form of Heeley Swimming Pool and Gym located on Broadfield Road. One of the main attractions in S2 is the up and coming “Antiques Quarter” on Broadfield Road, London and Abbeydale Road. Live music can also be found at the Heeley Institute.
