It’s that time of year – summer holidays. Taking a break from our regular lives and spending some time away from it all, either with friends or family or maybe on our own. Rediscovering what’s important and getting away from the daily grind. We seem to be discovering the effects of global warming and this summer is going to be up there with the heatwave of 1976.
Do you find that time away puts things into perspective? What seems like the most important thing in the world, can be viewed differently and more objectively when we take some time out. It’s really important for our minds and bodies to step away from our regular routine and stop.
It’s the same with buying, selling or renting – if you’re away for the summer in the countryside, you might find that a walk through fields or woodland gives you a new outlook. Things you might have been worrying about can be sorted with some time and space to think. You might readjust your priorities on your return and when you start looking for a new place to live, you might want to add ‘near to countryside’ to your list – alternatively, if you’ve missed the hustle and bustle of a big town or city, ‘close to busy town’ might feature more highly as a really important priority.
