Belvoir in the Community…

At Belvoir Swansea, Sketty and Mumbles, supporting our local communities is important to us. It’s why we have helped so many charities, community groups and good causes since we opened in 2010.

Whether it’s helping grassroots sports clubs, children’s charities or local schools, we want to make a real difference. We want to have a positive impact on the communities we are at the heart of.

Grassroots

In many cases in South Wales, grassroots sports clubs are often the glue that holds communities together. This is why we have committed to supporting several clubs which make a real difference to local people. Mumbles Cricket Club, Swansea RFC and South Gower RFC are among the clubs we have supported, in addition to grassroots sporting events like The Darth and Mumbles Centurion.

Our support doesn’t just stop with sponsorship, we like to get involved too! You’ll often find our team of thrill seekers rolling up their sleeves and donning their running shoes for both The Darth and The Mumbles Centurion.

Education

Our support of Bishopston Primary School is varied. We have provided monetary support to help with key school initiatives, have donated our time and manpower to help with building maintenance and have supported an entrepreneurial scheme through 2BEnterprising.

Our partnership with 2BEnterprising has made invaluable resources available to the school and we have even held sessions alongside 2B to help inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Charity

Children have been one of the most adversely affected groups following on from the pandemic. As a family orientated business, we wanted to use our capabilities to help young people in the community as well as supporting charities which improve the lives of children and their families, such as Faith and Families and Action for Children, who we have partnered with on several fundraising activities.

Our most memorable fundraising initiative was the ‘boycott your bed’ challenge for Action for Children, where we swapped our cosy beds for a night under the stars on Three Cliffs Bay… who needs a tent anyway?

Environment

We’re proud to be working towards becoming a greener business at Belvoir. We now have five electric cars in our fleet, helping our team visit properties as sustainably as possible. Our offices are also almost entirely paperless, with digital filing and digital touchscreens for our guests to browse properties digitally.

Local Businesses

Supporting other local business is hugely important to Belvoir Swansea, Mumbles and Sketty. We often partner with other family-owned businesses where possible, including Cheers Wine Merchants, Olives and Oils Delicatessen, and SO Coffee. We are proud to share our community-first values with these fantastic, local businesses.
