Recently a number of Landlords have approached us asking how then change their management to Belvoir Tunbridge Wells. You don’t need to wait for a change of tenancy, we can do most of the work for you and take away the hassle. Here is a step-by-step guide that will make the process that little bit easier:
Find out how much notice you are required to give your current agent
This is likely to be one or two months and should be shown in the Terms of Business you signed. If you cannot find it, simply ask them. Once you have this information give them the required written notice, it’s preferable if your notice ends on a rent due date.
We will send you our paperwork to sign
This can be done via electronic signing if that’s easier for you.
You will need to let us have contact details for the current tenant
This should be on your tenancy agreement or your previous letting agent can provide.
We will contact your tenant and meet them at the property to introduce ourselves
All the tenant needs to do is adjust their standing order to send the payment to our client bank account. The timing of this switch will depend on when you give notice to your previous agents. We will advise you of the best time to do this.
We will produce a new tenancy agreement for the tenant to sign
We prefer to use our own tenancy agreement as we know the contents and our legal team have ensured it is up-to-date with ever changing legislation. If you wish we can take the opportunity to review the rent to ensure its in line with the current market.
