Often discuss with landlords how to get their property ready to let so thought I would give an introduction to this subject in an audio stream. I have taken this as being a single let rather than a HMO, which has a fresh layer of extra complexity to it.
I discuss making sure the property is clean and sharp ready for the market, furnishings, gas safety, EPC, electrics, mortgages and insurance.
On Gas safety I say in the recording that your agent can do that for you. Apologies for my loose language – I mean they can organise it for you with a Gas Safe Registered contractor. The last thing you would want was a ham fisted agent actually doing the check for you!
