A landlord came to talk about our statement that the Uxbridge property market is buoyant at the moment, when we arrived at the subject of bargains available in our area.
I did a little research and found that a rather lucky person had purchased a two bedroomed terrace house on Hogarth Close, just off Cowley Road near the Greenway for only £250,000. This property had previously sold for £289,950 when it was purchased in 2006. When we consider house prices have risen since 2006, this is a great bargain with a yield of 5.8%.
Opposite Hillingdon Hospital a two bedroom, two bathroom flat on Crispin Way sold for £199,950 this year. It sold in 2006 for more £202,746. This shows there can be bargains, but you just need the knowledge to know when you’ve found one.
