Congratulations to our colleague Anna McFadyen who works at Belvoir’s Uxbridge office who last weekend ran not one, not two, but three marathons in three days along the Jurassic Coast – because one marathon is never enough!
Road running the London Marathon is hard enough on the nice smooth tarmac surfaces but becomes a real challenge when you are running on a variety of surfaces up and down cliff tops and on coastal paths. The kit list includes a whistle, waterproof clothing, gloves, hats, maps and a small torch!
The Jurassic Coast Challenge starts near Lyme Regis, before heading east past Bridport, Abbostbury, the Isle of Portland, Weymouth and along the Purbeck Coast including Lulworth Cove, up into Swanage and Studland Bay. A route blessed with spectacular scenery, but do you still enjoy it when running that far?
Anna was ready for work the following Monday. Moving around was okay – but poor Anna struggled getting up after sitting down for any length of time. “I am perfectly fine – just might lose a toe nail though!”
Anna now has here eyes set on an Atlantic Challenge run!
We are very proud of our resident runner.
