When you are working hard, I am sure I am not alone in sometimes wishing for a quieter when you can clear the decks. Covid-19 and a global pandemic is not quite what I had in mind. Be careful what you wish for!
We are working from home like many office-based companies, and are able to service our business as normal, with the exception that we are not able to conduct any face to face business. So we are not able to conduct in-person viewings, but as soon as we are able to, we will start videos where we don't have them. There are plenty of enquiries coming in for properties which we will arrange viewings for as soon as we can. We will follow government guidance on movement.
It is clear from enquiries that many people are willing to undertake viewings even now. To my mind, the only viewings for new tenants and purchasers we could do now, with a clear conscience, are for a property for key workers who need a home urgently and are viewing an unoccupied property.
Of course, services like rent collection and management services continue for us. Despite national concerns about rent payment, most tenants are working hard to settle rent and make payment and arrears are quite low, and we are working individually with tenants and landlords where this is the case.
Like you, we are looking forward to coming out of the lockdown, maybe even slowly at the start, but for the meantime, hope that you are all staying safe!
