Why a Walsall Estate Agent is Allowing a Member of Staff Time off To Play Golf

Is your boss a good sport?

Have you got the kind of boss that’s approachable and easy to speak to? Or do you have to leave a post-it-note on their desk and wait to see what happens?

We are all human and each of us has their good and bad days I suppose. However, even if you have the most fun-loving, chirpiest manager who regularly purchases the office coffees. Even then, how far would you take it when asking for time off?

Go on, be honest, what would you be bold enough to ask for the day off for?

And we’re not talking an average dentist appointment or early Friday skedaddle here. Oh no, we are really pushing boss boundaries, we want to know how much audacity you really have.

So here goes… would you ever ask your boss for time off to play a sport?

We know what you are thinking: “Yeah right”, “In my dreams” “What kind of company or boss would allow such a thing?”

Well actually, right here in our Walsall Estate agents we’re allowing a team member time off to do exactly that. Liam Hack is taking part in one of the most important games of golf ever. He’s swinging his club and raising money for McMillan all at the same time.

The Macmillan cancer support charity is hosting the fund-raising event Longest Day Golf Challenge. This amazing concept is to play 72 holes, four rounds in just one day! Whatever level you are at, anyone is welcome to join in and raise money for such a great cause.

Liam was naturally a little hesitant about asking for the day off for this event, however, when the director Michael Warke heard about the fundraiser, he was all for it, giving his approval 100%. How on earth, could he say no to such a wonderful staff member taking part in such an important event. Plus, he wants to hear all about Liam walking 24 miles during one game of golf – will he be able to hack it?

Liam is carrying out his Longest Day Golf Challenge at Druids Health Club in Aldrigde. The crew here in Walsall offer their full support and are proud to have such a charitable team member doing great things.

More about the challenge Macmillan are running can be found here: https://longestdaygolf.macmillan.org.uk/Gettingready

Go and ask your boss for the day off and support such a wonderful charity.

If you don’t ask you don’t get.
